There might not be many jobs, but there sure are lots of recruiters. It’s easy to find one on LinkedIn.
Here’s what you do:
- Click http://www.linkedin.com/search to get to the search page at Linked In.
- Scroll down till you see a box on the right that says Industry.
- For industry, pick Staffing and Recruiting, then click Search. And voila, you’ll get 255,455, give or take a couple.
Man, why are there so many recruiters? Is it a great job, or something?
Okay, obviously you need to narrow your search. Recruiters specialize. There’s a box that says Modify Your Search. So enter the type of recruiter you want in there and do another search.
For instance, you can find recruiters who specialize in truck drivers. Wow, 23 of them. Must not be so lucrative. Okay, how about surgeons? Hmmm. 69. Now try IT. 35,132. Wow! How about pigeon trainers? None. WTF?
Okay, you get the idea. Do you actually need a recruiter to find a job? Just ask a recruiter. You can find a quarter-million on Linked In.
